Comments
This game was scheduled to be played at the Joseph P. Riley, Jr. stadium, home of the River Dogs, an affiliate of the New York Yankees in the Class A South Atlantic League. The park is named for the 60th and longest serving mayor of Charleston, South Carolina (In office December 15, 1975 to January 11, 2016). The park opened April 6, 1997. However because of the cool, damp weather, the venue was moved to the Gaillard Performance Hall, home of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. The hall is named for J. Palmer Gaillard, Jr., the 58th mayor of Charleston (In office 1959 to1975).
