Desperate & Separate
Desperately separate
the complex from the simple
like a wave on edge
or a ledge in a cave
from a rocket launch
to a sales call
a business lunch
separate the complex things
like one plus one is two
and
two times two is four
and
four divided by four
is always the same as before
the complex
likes change and
transmutation
windy windmills of refutation
the simple
simply stays put
sunk deep with one simple root
a simple tree is a simple thing
with a simple sound
and
a simple ring
not like complex forests
with overgrowth
and
a science of forestry
index the change and difference
the complex makes us wait with patience desperately
the simple is already always ready
simple things are simple by fate
keep calm, then, and separate
the simple
from the
desperate.
