A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months. (REF: wikipedia.org)

The race to find and capture audiences who will view and talk about films has always been a necessary part of the movie business. However, with a savvy social media strategy, it isn't just the studios who can build a massive following for films...Essentially, independent filmmakers can now be their own movie studios. OFFICIAL SCORER
GAME ANNOUNCER
Tim Berners-Lee

When a baseball game goes into extra innings you have two well-matched teams slugging it out. The result of this exciting game, between two competitive clubs, agrees with those who claim that social media is changing everything, including change itself.

The home town fans did not like the error Official Scorer Sample slapped on Geocities, but, in our opinion, Sample got it right.

The umpiring was uneven, but that's not a newsflash at the moment.
