In any other game, Mr. Progressive himself, John Dewey, would have likely come away a winner. He gave up three hits, 2 earned runs, struck out 7 and walked 2. That kind of pitching job just wasn't good enough today.
For fans of offensive baseball, this was not your game. The only offense of note was Kurt Cobain's homerun over the rightfield wall in the third inning. Outside of that it was just marvelous pitching.
The Beats have suddenly become the team to beat in the Over League.
