The connection between these two competitors is not immediately obvious. For example, what does a collection of art teachers at a relatively small liberal arts college have in common with the members of the Council of the District of Columbia? There is little these teams have in common with each other except that they both are meant to serve a community. In the case of the DC Council, that community consists of the citizens of Washington D.C. In the case of the Bard Film team, it is an academic community.

Bard College DC Council
Despite what seems like an infinite number of fielding errors, the DC COUNCIL kept the game relatively close until the top of the eighth inning when the BARD FILM makers/teachers took unrelenting advantage of the inept defense of Vincent Orange (two errors!), Marion Barry (two errors!), and Yvette Alexander (one error). Orange and Alexander each had THREE errors during the game. Collectively, DC COUNCIL committed 10 (TEN!) total errors, and lost 13-6.
