![]() Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 4 RBIs Pisces rookie left fielder, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, had the game of her new cosmic baseball career. She seemed to be at every impotant event during the game. During the first inning, she came up to the plate after Beat starter and musical composer David Amram hit musician Fats Domino (one of three batters Amram beamed during the game). Ginsburg moved Domino to second when her easy grounder was mishandled by Beat firstbaseman poet Gregory Corso. In the third inning Gisburg walked after four straight fastballs inside missed the corner of the plate while she just watched the balls zip by. In the fifth inning Amram hit Ginsburg with a slider that got out of hand. In the seventh inning, with Pisces poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow stationed at firstbase as a result of an Amram walk, Ginsburg knocked a 2-run home run over the left field wall. But the Pisces were still down 4-3 when the inning ended. And then, in the Pisces' eighth inning the flood gates opened up as the fish scored seven runs to put the game (and possibly the series) to rest. By the time Ginsburg got to the plate, she was the eigth batter in the inning (Amram had by then been relieved by Beat poet Amiri Baraka) the second woman on the U.S. Supreme Court smacked a double up the middle scoring two of the innings seven runs. Ginsburg's line score for the day is impressive: 3 at bats, 2 runs, 2 hits, 4 runs batted in, a home run, a double, and she was hit by a pitched ball. Needless to say, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in her mighty offensive effort helped the Pisces take the series lead and has been named Game 3's most cosmic player.
