Patty Hearst, the Pisces' centerfielder led off with a grounder to short for the first out. Pisces catcher Felkcia Gleaton got to first on a walk. Spike Lee came in to pinch hit for pitcher Jane Bowles and he drove a curve ball to the left side for a single, advancing Gleaton to secondbase. And then, the Mainieac poet from Portland stepped into the batter's box. Poet Baraka offered a fat fast ball down the middle of the lane as his first (& last) pitch...Longfellow whacked it long and high over the wall in left centerfield. A three run bopper...game over. Pisces lead the best-of-seven series, 2-1. |
