The Vestal Virgins, error prone as usual, looked good from the mound and from the plate. Virgin starter and psychoanalyst Lou Andreas-Salome went the distance and pitched one of the best games of her career. As a result she was named the game's Most Cosmic Player by official scorer C. Hilton. Some would have given the MCP to Virgin secondbasewoman and U.S. Senator Hilary Clinton who had a good day at the plate. The Washington Presidents were anemic or maybe they were just bewitched by the phenomenal pitching of Salome. President John Kennedy yielded five earned runs in six innings and his earned run average continues to swell early in the season. | ||||||
