Dear Members & Friends of the Cosmic Baseball Association,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our members and friends a Happy and Healthy New Year. The Cosmic Baseball Association looks forward to another important year, both on the cosmic baseball playing fields and elsewhere.
Last year saw our first season after contracting the the size of the regular playing leagues. While a number of you were disappointed in that action, others saw that the streamlining of the official teams made the season more competitive.
The website saw the addition of over sixty new plates during the past twelve months. While visitor numbers trended downward, the data suggests visitors are spending more time viewing, reading and experiencing the pages they do visit. The number of returning visitors has increased and according to V-Log information, more visitors are providing their comments and suggestions. The number of visitors completing Cosmic Player Nomination forms also increased during 2004.
Also during 2004, the Board of Directors increased their size by two, enrollment at the Cosmic Baseball Research Alliance Institute grew fifteen per cent and overall, I am glad to report that the Cosmic Baseball Association is running on all cyclinders.
For the new season we plan on re-vamping the poetry collection at the CBA's website. This long overdue project has been authorized and final funding is expected to be approved at the next meeting of the Board of Directors. The completion of the Sylvia Plath Chronology plate is also scheduled for completion during 2005.
Please join me in making 2005, our 23rd year, the best ever.
Catch you later,

Andrew M. Lampert
Commissioner
