The Pre-Raphaelite Baseball Club joined the Cosmic Baseball Association on May 26, 1997. The members of the team are all related in one way or another to the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, an art and literarture movement in 19th century England. The P.R.B won last season's Cosmic Universal Series in a thrilling seven-game contest with the Paradise Pisces.
For Season 2000 there have been a couple of changes: Former player and Pre-Raphaelite benefactor William Leathart has become a coach and the P.R.B. signed rookie Charles Auguste Mengin, who painted a very idealized and Pre-Raphaelite picture of the Greek poet Sappho. The chances are deemed fairly decent for this team to return to post-season play again in 2000.
