The Delta Dragons team was created on December 31, 1981 in Los Angeles, California. The team was one of the original four cosmic teams and represents talented and distinguished musicians. Like the other original cosmic teams the Dragons were first placed in the Sharp League. After CBA's league reorganization in the 1990s the Dragons found themselves committed to the cosmic Middleleague. The Dragons played the Pisces in Cosmic Universal Series I and lost the nine game contest. That has been their only post season appearance. In 1996 the team was given a one year suspension for reasons no longer discussed publically. For Season 2000 the Dragons have a new team owner: the venerable bluesman John Lee Hooker. Popular recording star Peggy Lee joins the pitching staff as the team's only rookie. Longtime field manager and blues singer Janis Joplin has announced that she will quit managing after this season UNLESS the team has a winning season.
