Louis Farrakhan is well-known as the charismatic leader of the American muslim organization known as The Nation of Islam. He has been the leader of this group since 1977.

Farrakhan was born in the Bronx. He has nine children and 23 grandchildren. His most recent accomplishment was the Million Man March held in Washington D.C. on October 16, 1995.
